SYRIA’S ELECTRICITY MINISTER: COOPERATION WITH RUSSIA IN REBUILDING PHASE, TOP PRIORITY
Syria’s Electricity Minister, Mohammad Zuhair Kharboutli, stressed that, cooperation with Russian institutions and companies, in rebuilding phase in Syria, constitutes top priority.
In a statement to SANA correspondent, upon his arrival in Moscow, on Sunday, Kharboutli said that, his visit came, to complete the meetings held in Sochi and Damascus, between the Syrian-Russian Joint Committees, with the aim of enhancing and deepening the relations between the two countries, for the establishment and implementation of projects in reconstruction phase.
The minister clarified that, the most important projects will include rehabilitating and re-operating Aleppo Thermal Power Plant, through rehabilitating the three (second, third and fourth) units, with a capacity of 600 MW, and implementing the two steam stations, with a capacity of 700 MW in Mhardeh Power Plant, and two steam stations with a capacity of 700 MW in Tishreen thermal power plant, in addition to setting up a power plant in Deir Ezzor Province
