Military Investigative Judge, Fadi Sawwan, issued on Thursday three indictments against three men for the following crimes:

Syrian national Ahmad Al Mohammad is indicted for belonging to ISIS and partaking in fighting in Syria.

The Criminal Court of Cassation had earlier revoked Judge Sawwan’s indictment on the basis that a Lebanese court does not have the jurisdiction to try Syrian criminals for crimes committed in Syria. But the Court of Cassation then considered that the fact those persons are present on Lebanese soil is grounds for trying them.

The second indictment was against Shadi al Khateeb from Baddawi Palestinian Camp for joining Jind al Sham and Nusra Front in Syria.

Syrian National Mohammad Ahmad was indicted for belonging to ISIS in Majdel Aanjar and participating in fighting in Syria.

All three were referred to the Military Tribunal for trial.
