Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, today received National Space Science Authority (NSSA) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Aseeri, and Engineer Yacoub Al Qassab, recipient of the Space Emerging Leaders Award.

The minister congratulated Eng. Al Qassab on being granted the prize, hailed the dedicated efforts by NSSA personneld during their overseas participations.

The award is conferred on outstanding young men and women in the space sector. More 150 candidates from 80 countries participated in the 2023 competition.

Aerospace engineer Yacoub Al-Qassab was chosen from among thirty winners worldwide.

The International Astronautical Federation (IAF) is also the largest global organization concerned with space science, with more than 460 members from 75 countries.
