Truck and Bus Violations to Be Monitored Electronically, TGA Says

Riyadh: The Transport General Authority (TGA) announced today the start of the third phase of e-monitoring of violations by public transportation vehicles like trucks and buses.

The monitoring, which will take place in various regions of the Kingdom, includes at this stage freight means of transport, truck rentals, international transportation buses, and bus rentals. Through it, the authority aims to reduce the incidence of violations, including trucks and buses operating without a license or with an expired one.

The authority said that e-monitoring will contribute to achieving the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy by improving the quality and safety standards of the public transportation sector in the Kingdom. It is part of the authority’s efforts to make truck and bus operators comply with the authority’s regulations.
