Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Monday that Ankara strongly condemns all kinds of attacks targeting Syria’s integrity and social peace, including acts of terrorism and intimidation.
According to Syrian Arab News Agency, Erdogan highlighted that the current situation in Syria has been largely brought under control due to the Syrian government forces’ ‘effective intervention.’ He warned, however, that the situation on the ground remains sensitive. Erdogan also expressed Ankara’s approval of Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa’s moderate and calming statements, emphasizing his firm message that those acting outside the law will face consequences.
Erdogan reiterated that Turkey is not concerned with anyone’s ethnicity, religion, or sect in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, or other countries in the region. He also recalled Ankara’s consistent stance since the massacre of 1 million Syrians by the Baath regime, affirming Turkey’s unwavering position.
