Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawwan issued on Thursday two indictments against five Syrian nationals for belonging to the terrorist organization ISIS.

The first indictment was against two Syrian nationals, Nidal al Yassine (detained) and Maher Ali (fugitive) in the offence of funding ISIS, whereby Nidal receives the money wired to his name from various European countries for Maher to take it and transport it in cash to the terrorist organization in Syria.

The second indictment was against Syrian brothers Ahmad (detained), Hamdou and Ali Hamama (fugitives) in the offence of belonging to ISIS with the aim of carrying out terrorist acts in Arsal as well as partaking in the attack on the Lebanese Armed Forces in August of 2014, murder and attempted murder of soldiers.

The culprits and their files were transferred to the permanent Military Tribunal for trial.
