The U.S.-led anti-terror coalition, struck a Syrian military position, in the country’s eastern province of Deir al-Zour, on Monday, activists and al-Jazeera TV, said.

A U.S.-led aircaft, reportedly struck the Syrian position, in the northern countryside of Deir al-Zour, according to the report, which spelled no further details.

There has been no immediate comments from Damascus.

If true, the attack would be the second U.S.-led assault on government forces, this month.

Earlier this month, the U.S.-led coalition struck a position of pro-Syrian government forces, in Deir al-Zour, killing dozens of them.

The Syrian government condemned the attack, while the U.S. coalition said, it was a retaliatory action against the Syrian forces’ attack on pro-U.S. forces in Syria.
