Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that the Lebanese borders stretching from the South to the Beqa and the North, except for Arsal outskirts, came out of the military threat circle, thanks to the tremendous sacrifices of the resistance warriors.

Sayyed Nasrallah was speaking on Tuesday afternoon in a televised speech marking the Resistance “Day of the Wounded”, during which he lauded the sacrifices of resistance fighters in face of Israel which led to anchoring security and stability in the villages of the south and west Bekaa.

“All accomplishments in the face of occupation became true thanks to the sacrifices of the resistance fighters,” the Secretary General said.

On the occasion of Labor Day, Sayyed Nasrallah congratulated all workers on their Day, noting that unemployment forms one of the most serious problems which should be addressed as a “priority.”

Nasrallah called on the Lebanese government to follow up on this dossier and resolve it benefitting from world experiences.

On the controversial election law, the Secretary General considered the issue as critical, saying that some forces deem it as “a matter of life or death.”

However, Nasrallah noted that some sides are exploiting the election law issue to score certain political positions and impair alliances.

The Secretary General stressed that the Party tackles the election law from a national interest perspective, underlining that Hizbullah does not want to impose any electoral law on any sect in Lebanon. He voiced support to a vote law that secures widest fair representation, calling for “agreement and consensus” in this regard.

Nasrallah warned that Lebanon “is on the verge of the abyss”, stressing that all sides should assume full responsibility.

Turning to the Syrian situation, Nasrallah categorically stressed the Party’s conviction that its option to enter Syria was “right, proper and timely.”
