Hizbullah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah said that Daesh practices and killings of civilians were the result of its defeats along fronts, most recently in Baghdad.

Sayyid Nasrallah’s fresh words came on Thursday in his address at a ceremony in honor of “Islamic Resistance” wounded members, in which he touched on an array of political matters, including regional developments, municipal polls.

The ceremony was attended by scores of Lebanese and Palestinian political and party dignitaries, in addition to religious scholars.

Speaking via a large screen, Sayyid Nasrallah saluted the Islamic resistance members who got wounded in the face of the Zionist plot and who are currently facing a new similar plot, as he said.

Nasrallah reminded of the Nakba Day in the year 1948 which has befallen Palestine and the Palestinian people paving the way for the occupation of the holy lands in the year 1967. He narrated the sufferings inflicted by the Nakba and its impact on “the spirit of the nation, its dignity, honor, stability, its future and prosperity.”

Nasrallah said that a similar Nakba is taking place for years in our region at the hands of the United States and its regional allies, whereby they brought in savage forces for the sake of destroying the spirit of resistance and its will.

“However, the difference between Nakba 48 and today is the presence of live forces in the region which are determined to bring down the US project and all its tools,” said Nasrallah.

On the other hand, Nasrallah pointed out that some people do not accept holding the US responsible for supporting the takfiri groups, asking for proofs on such blame.

Hizbullah chief said that the west, the US and Israel have nowadays a problem represented in the resistance axis, namely Iran, Syria, and the resistance movements in Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq and Yemen.

“Their problem is not with your religion [Islam] but rather with the movements which reject the occupation of holy sites, American hegemony.. Their problem is with the culture of resistance.”

Nasrallah pointed out that the US, the west and Israel returned back to the former “Afghanistan” model and brought in militants to destroy the nation in the name of Islam, after failing to do so through the Israelis in the year 2006.

“If we allow the grand Nakba to succeed, Palestine will be lost.. That’s why they brought in all these people from all countries into Syria,” said Nasrallah.

The Secretary General also brought to attention the interview conducted this year with the US General Wesley Clark (who was the Supreme Commander of NATO between 1997- 2000) who said on CNN that Washington and its allies are the ones who have set up Daesh group to confront Hezbollah in Lebanon in order to destroy it. The General also indicated that they worked on securing funds to Daesh from their friends and allies.

Nasrallah also foresaw that “Daesh will be a future threat to Gaza and the West Bank after they brought them in to fight Iran, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan,” and he accused the Saudi regime of working to support them.

Addressing both Shiite and Sunni Muslims, Nasrallah said that “what is happening in the region is not a Sunni Shiite conflict at all, but rather the destruction of the Islamic awakening call, or the Arab Spring under the pretext of fighting terrorism.”

Addressing Christians in the Levant, Nasrallah recommended that they avoid betting on the US since it only cares about its interests and projects, saying that the Christians have paid the price in Iraq and Syria yet not in Lebanon.
